About ZazuDesigns
Zareen Naylor studied Interior Design at KLC School of Design winning a prestigious British Institute of Interior Design (formerly BADA) competition while a student in 2008. This enabled her to meet the then BIID president Lori Pinkerton-Rolet, for whom she began freelance work for Park Grove Design. After graduating with Honours, she continued to work and learn from other high-end luxury Interior Design companies and the exquisite bespoke contemporary furniture company; Black & Key.
ZazuDesigns started in 2009, and over the past decade her business has carried out a wide range of residential projects – from high-end luxury house renovations with many bespoke elements, to helping “time-poor” professionals create vibrant live/work apartments. Interior Design, for Zareen, is all about a deep understanding of the client’s needs and tastes. Then, to translate this into a beautiful, practical living space which is highly personal and specifically tailored. No two projects are alike.
Zareen brings a wealth of different cultural experience and influences to her design, born in Glasgow, but growing up in Surrey and Brussels, travelling all over the world throughout her life including more than ten years living in South-East Asia. Through these influences an eclectic aesthetic developed with a love of natural materials; wood, grasses, glass, stone, shell, linen and silk. She has a huge admiration for local craftsmanship, with its attention to detail and sustainability, a love of the unusual and the simplicity of beauty.
